AION 2 Server Transfer: Dates, Cost and Rules, Plus New NA East Servers

NC's two October 9 notices set the schedule. Transfers go on sale in the In-Game Shop (Shop → Server Transfer) after the regular maintenance on Tuesday, October 13 (PDT) / Wednesday, October 14 (CEST). Week one is for Early Access servers only, until before the October 20 (PDT) / October 21 (CEST) maintenance. Week two is for Launch servers only, until before the October 27 (PDT) / October 28 (CET) maintenance. The price is 0 Quna as a base cost (once per account) and 0 Quna per character transferred. The only charge is extra character slots on the destination server: 1,000 Quna per slot, so moving 6 characters into 4 free slots costs 2,000 Quna, per NC's example. Purchase hours differ by region and are given in PDT and CEST/CET in the notice; for example Europe is open 03:00-07:00 and 09:00-13:00 PDT daily, and North America East and West 09:00-13:00 and 15:00-19:00 PDT.

Transfers stay within the same faction and the same region, and Early Access servers can only transfer to other Early Access servers. Each account gets one transfer during the whole period, but there is no limit on how many characters go in that one transfer. A transfer is not available if the departure or destination server has reached its transfer capacity limit.

Each character must be level 10 or higher, standing in a village (not in the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift or a dungeon), not in a Legion or with a pending Legion application, and have no active Duty missions. Unclaimed items block a transfer too: market listings or proceeds, anything left in Shop Storage (including the Founder's Pack) and unread mail on the character.

NC's summary table marks nearly everything as transferred: the character, Quna and Mileage, Kina in the Cube and Character Storage, membership, Daeva Pass progress, Daevanion, skills and Stigmas, quests, titles, achievements, pets, wings, closet skins, Abyss Points, season ranking points and season missions. Server Storage items do not move (only expansion records do), and the Mail Block List is not transferred. Move anything you want to keep into the character's inventory or Character Storage first.

The character is renamed "@TemporaryName" and you choose a new name at first login. Membership merges with any on the destination server. Duplicate pets or non-customizable skins you already own there convert to a Pet Reward Ticket or Skin (Single) Reward Ticket, valid until the maintenance on November 24 (PST) / November 25 (CET). A completed transfer cannot be reverted. NC says the product may be offered again in the same or a similar form.

Separately, NC opened a new North America East pair, Hithanya (Elyos) and Nemon (Asmodian), at 15:00 PDT on October 9 / 00:00 CEST on October 10. As with the EU pair opened a day earlier (see the EU outage and new servers post), the notice says transfers will let players rejoin friends later and that instanced content including dungeons is available cross-server.
