Conversion FAQ

• What is conversion / exchange in AION 2?

  Conversion is AION 2's trade-in bench: you hand over a set of component items (and sometimes meet a mastery or level requirement) and receive a product in return. It's how you turn surplus gathering materials, crystals, tokens, old gear and event currency into the things you actually need.

• What do the success, critical and fallback percentages mean?

  Most conversions succeed 100% of the time. Some are a gamble: the success chance gives the normal product, a smaller critical chance upgrades it to a better reward, and a fallback chance returns a consolation item if it doesn't work out. This browser shows all three odds per recipe.

• Why are some conversions locked?

  Certain conversions only unlock once you hit a crafting mastery rank (Blacksmithing, Jewelcrafting or Alchemy), a character level, or a Monolith level. Each card shows the exact requirement with a lock badge so you know what to train first.

• What does “any of N interchangeable items” mean on a component?

  Some component slots accept any one of a group of items — for example any unique weapon of a given tier. Expand the slot to see every item that satisfies it; each links to its database page so you can check which you already own.

• Are there limits on how many times I can convert?

  Yes — some conversions are capped per character (or per account/server), and a few reset weekly or daily. Limited recipes carry a timer badge so you can plan your weekly redemptions.

• Is the conversion browser free?

  Completely free, runs in your browser, and needs no login or account.
