Aion 2 Pre-Registration & Beta
As of May 31, 2026, there is no global pre-registration program for Aion 2. The only official pre-launch actions for Western players are to wishlist Aion 2 on Steam and sign up for the newsletter at aion2.plaync.com. NCSOFT has confirmed a global PC launch via Steam and PURPLE in the second half of 2026, but no global beta sign-up, pre-registration, or early-access rewards have been announced.

Is Aion 2 pre-registration open globally?
As of May 31, 2026, Aion 2 does not have a global pre-registration program. NCSOFT has confirmed the game is coming West, but the only official pre-launch actions available to Western players right now are: (1) wishlist Aion 2 on Steam, and (2) sign up for the newsletter on the official global site, aion2.plaync.com. Wishlisting is the closest equivalent to “pre-registering” today — it notifies you when the game becomes available and signals demand to the publisher — but it is not a formal pre-registration campaign and, as of this date, carries no confirmed reward.
The confirmed global launch
The global launch itself is official. On April 21–22, 2026, NCSOFT (via NC America and its Korean newsroom) announced that the global version of Aion 2 will release in the second half of 2026 on PC only, distributed through Steam and NCSOFT’s PURPLE launcher. The global build is PC-native (no Western mobile client was announced), will run dedicated servers for North America, South America, Europe, and Japan, and will support ten in-game languages. No exact day-and-month date has been given — “second half of 2026” is as precise as the official wording gets.
How to “pre-register” today (wishlist + newsletter)
How to wishlist (the recommended step today): open the official Aion 2 Steam store page, make sure you are signed into your Steam account, and click “Add to your Wishlist.” Steam will notify you when the game launches or enters any pre-purchase or beta phase. There is no fee, and Aion 2 is confirmed free-to-play. For non-Steam updates, add your email to the newsletter at aion2.plaync.com so NCSOFT can reach you directly if it opens any future global pre-registration, beta, or founder’s-pack program.
Beta & early access status
On beta and early access: there is currently no announced global beta test (closed or open) and no early-access program for the Western release. At the April 2026 reveal, the development team signalled that additional global news and a showcase were planned for May 2026, so a further announcement could follow — but until NCSOFT publishes one, treat any “beta sign-up” page you find outside official channels as unverified. The safest places to watch for a real announcement are the official Aion 2 Steam page, aion2.plaync.com, the NC newsroom, and the official Aion 2 social accounts.
- Whether there will be a formal global pre-registration campaign (separate from the Steam wishlist) and, if so, when it opens.
- Whether NCSOFT will run a global closed or open beta test (CBT/OBT) before the Western launch, and how to sign up.
- What global/Western pre-registration or launch rewards (if any) will be offered — the Pet Box + Kinah rewards were KR/TW-only.
- Whether early access (e.g. founder's packs or a head-start) will be offered for the global launch.
- The exact global release date (only “second half of 2026” is confirmed).
Korea & Taiwan pre-registration (region-specific)
Be careful not to confuse the global rollout with the already-live Korea/Taiwan service. Aion 2 launched in Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025. Those regions ran their own pre-registration from September 11, 2025, with rewards (a Pet Selection Box and a 100,000 Kinah Box, plus a G-STAR 2025 ticket drawing for players who registered by September 14), name reservations from October 16, and pre-character creation from November 16. Those rewards and dates were region-specific and do NOT carry over to the global version; NCSOFT has not announced any equivalent global rewards yet.
Can I play Aion 2 right now?
Only by accessing the Korean or Taiwanese service, which is region-locked. Players outside KR/TW generally need a VPN/region-masking setup plus a regional NCSOFT account, and Korea requires identity verification that is hard for foreigners to satisfy — which is why many overseas players favor the Taiwan service. This route is unofficial: it can violate the game’s terms of service and risks account action, and this site does not recommend bypassing official region restrictions. For most Western players, the sensible plan is to wishlist on Steam and wait for the official second-half-2026 global launch on dedicated NA/SA/EU/Japan servers.

Frequently asked questions
Is Aion 2 pre-registration open globally?
No. As of May 31, 2026 there is no formal global pre-registration. The only official pre-launch action is to wishlist Aion 2 on Steam and sign up for the newsletter at aion2.plaync.com. A dedicated global pre-registration campaign has not been announced.
How do I pre-register / sign up for Aion 2 right now?
Go to the official Steam store page (store.steampowered.com/app/3393110), sign into Steam, and click “Add to Wishlist.” Also add your email to the newsletter at aion2.plaync.com. These are the only official ways to get notified ahead of the global launch.
Are there pre-registration rewards for the global launch?
None have been confirmed for the global/Western release as of May 31, 2026. The Pet Selection Box and 100,000 Kinah Box rewards were specific to the Korea/Taiwan pre-registration in 2025 and do not automatically apply globally.
Is there a global beta or early access I can join?
Not currently. No global closed beta, open beta, or early-access program has been announced. The dev team signalled more global news and a showcase for May 2026, so watch the official Steam page, aion2.plaync.com, and NC's newsroom for any future announcement.
When does Aion 2 release globally?
NCSOFT has officially confirmed the global PC launch for the second half of 2026, on Steam and the PURPLE launcher. No exact day or month has been announced yet.
What platforms will the global version support?
PC only, via Steam and NCSOFT's PURPLE launcher. The global build is PC-native; no Western mobile version was announced. It is free-to-play.
Will my Korea/Taiwan account or characters transfer to global?
There is no official confirmation of cross-region transfers. The global service runs on separate NA/SA/EU/JP servers, and NCSOFT has not announced any migration of KR/TW progress to the global version.
