Overview: the Elyos 10–25 journey
This is the band where your character stops being a beginner. The main story carries you out of the Dawn Legion Base, deeper through the Cantas Valley, and into the Verteron Fortress Ruins, ending around the Astin Mercenaries questline at level 25. Along the way two of the game's core power systems open up: the Daevanion board at level 12 and Stigmas at level 23.
The plan stays the same but the stakes go up: run the main story for experience, clear hideouts as each new tier unlocks (15, 20, 25) for Enhance Stones and Daevanion Crystals, and pour both into your gear and your Daevanion board. By the end of this band you should have a meaningfully enchanted set and your first Daevanion and Stigma investments.
New systems this band: Daevanion (Lv 12) and Stigmas (Lv 23)
At level 12 your Daevanion board unlocks — a node board you spend Daevanion points on to permanently upgrade your character. This is exactly what the Daevanion Crystals from hideouts are for, so the more hideouts you clear, the faster your board fills out. It is one of the biggest power gains in the whole leveling stretch, so don't leave it untouched.
At level 23 you unlock Stigmas — equippable skill enhancements, with up to four equipped at once. Treat them as a second loadout layer on top of your normal skills: slot the ones that fit your class's role and re-check them as you unlock more. Between Daevanion and Stigmas, levels 12–25 are when build decisions start to matter, not just gear.

If a story step starts to feel like a wall, that's the game telling you to gear up: clear the hideouts for your level, push a few enchants and Daevanion nodes, then come back. The story is tuned to be cleared in fresh gear, so a small power detour fixes most difficulty spikes.
Hideouts for levels 15, 20 and 25
Each hideout is still a one-time clear (no reset), and the first-clear reward scales with level: 15,000 Kina, 2 Daevanion Crystals, the wing/statue materials and a title every time, plus a growing pile of Enhance Stones — 750 at Lv 15, 1,000 at Lv 20, 1,250 at Lv 25. Clear each tier as you reach its recommended level. The Elyos-side (Verteron) hideouts are:
Level 15 · 750 Enhance Stones each
- Spirit Flower Cave
- Cursed Hideout
- Filth Pit
- Corrupted Spiritmaster's Residence
- Looted Repository
- Marsh Library
- Akilo Thieves Den
- Deep Underground Cave

- Forest Library
Level 20 · 1,000 Enhance Stones each

Strongholds: the only source of belt Enhance Scrolls
Don't skip the strongholds — the garrison forts scattered across the Verteron zone. They look optional, but they're the only place to get the Noble Belt Enhance Scroll, and you need one scroll for every single belt enchant (each rung from +0 to +9 costs 1 scroll plus Enhance Stones). No strongholds, no belt upgrades — there is no other source in the game data.
Each fort is a one-time clear (no reset) and pays out 15,000 Kina, 1 Noble Belt Enhance Scroll, and 3 Lesser Manastones (some also give a title). Taking a Common belt to +9 needs about ten scrolls, so plan to clear most of the Verteron forts. The named Elyos-side strongholds are: Romlon's Hideout, Forest Shade Execution Site, Renegade Hideout, Plateau Hill Base, Ugaros Thieves Campsite, Poacher's Base, Gargos Thieves Campsite, Canyon Thieves Den, Cohta Outpost, Mantasch Patrol Base, Sehna Outpost, Sabga Balaur Campsite and Maktashan Outpost (14 forts in total).
The division of labour is clean: hideouts give the Enhance Stones that enchant all your gear plus the Daevanion Crystals for your board, while strongholds give the belt scrolls (belt only) and manastones to socket into your gear. Run both as you level the zone.
Gear and enchanting through the band
Keep equipping the highest item-level pieces you get from the main story, side rewards and the Dawn Legion vendors, and keep enchanting. With hideouts handing you 750–1,250 Enhance Stones per clear, you'll have plenty to push your weapon and armor several levels — low-tier enchants are still cheap and reliable. Your Gear Score (the sum of equipped item levels plus enchant levels) should climb steadily across this band.
Spend deliberately: weapon enchants first for the clearest damage gain, then armor, and route spare Daevanion Crystals into the board the moment it opens at level 12. You're not at the Gear Score 1000 needed for Krao Cave Normal yet — that lands in the 40–45 push — but everything you bank here compounds toward it.
What's next
By level 25 you've cleared into the Verteron Fortress Ruins, opened your Daevanion board and your first Stigmas, and built a properly enchanted set. The Elyos 25–40 chapter (coming soon) takes you through the mid-tier hideouts and pushes your Gear Score toward the threshold for the endgame instances.
Frequently asked questions
When do you unlock the Daevanion board in Aion 2?
Level 12. From then you earn Daevanion points (and the Daevanion Crystals that hideouts award) to spend on a node board that permanently upgrades your character — one of the largest power gains while leveling.
When do Stigmas unlock as Elyos in Aion 2?
Level 23. Stigmas are equippable skill enhancements, with up to four equipped at once — a second loadout layer on top of your normal skills.
How many Enhance Stones do hideouts give at this level?
Per first clear: 750 Enhance Stones at level 15, 1,000 at level 20, and 1,250 at level 25 — alongside 15,000 Kina and 2 Daevanion Crystals each. Hideouts are one-time clears, so the payout is a single lump per dungeon.
How do you enhance your belt in Aion 2?
You need the Noble Belt Enhance Scroll, and the only source is garrison strongholds (the open-world forts in the Verteron zone). Each belt enchant rung from +0 to +9 costs one scroll plus Enhance Stones, so clear the forts to stockpile scrolls — there is no other way to upgrade your belt.
What do strongholds give in Aion 2?
Each garrison stronghold is a one-time clear that awards 15,000 Kina, 1 Noble Belt Enhance Scroll and 3 Lesser Manastones (some also give a title). There are 14 forts in the Verteron (Elyos) zone. They are the sole source of belt Enhance Scrolls.

It runs from the Dawn Legion Base out through the Cantas Valley — Coastal Camp, Collapsed Barrier Tower, Spirit's Rest, the Marsh Outpost — into the Verteron Fortress Ruins, finishing around the Astin Mercenaries questline at level 25.
