Aion 2 System Requirements

Aion 2's PC system requirements are published on its official Steam store page (app 3393110). Minimum: Windows 10/11 64-bit, a Ryzen 5 2600 / Core i5-10500 CPU, 8 GB RAM, a GTX 1050 Ti (4GB) / RX 470 (4GB) GPU, DirectX 12, and 100 GB of storage. Recommended: a Ryzen 7 3700X / Core i7-11700 CPU, 16 GB RAM, and an RTX 2070 (8GB) / RX 5700 XT (8GB) GPU, with an SSD advised.

Minimum requirements

To run Aion 2 at the minimum tier you need a 64-bit copy of Windows 10 or 11, a mainstream CPU and GPU from a few generations back, and 100 GB of free storage. NC notes that an SSD is recommended, and that at 1080p (FHD) the in-game graphics preset should be set to Very Low to stay within the minimum hardware envelope.

Storage100 GB available (SSD recommended)

Recommended requirements

For a smoother experience, the recommended specs step up the CPU, double the RAM to 16 GB, and move to an 8 GB-class GPU. Even at the recommended tier, NC’s official guidance suggests setting the FHD graphics preset to Low for guaranteed compatibility — a hint that maxing out an Unreal Engine 5 title at higher resolutions or quality presets will want hardware above this baseline.

Notes on Unreal Engine 5, storage and performance

These are mainstream, several-generations-old parts, so the headline takeaway is that you do not need a cutting-edge gaming PC to play Aion 2. If you are buying or upgrading a PC for it, aim for at least the recommended tier — a Ryzen 7 3700X / Core i7-11700-class CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and an 8 GB-class GPU such as an RTX 2070 or newer — and install the game on an SSD with at least 100 GB free, bearing in mind that day-one patches can push the real footprint higher. Because this is an Unreal Engine 5 game, expect that hitting high settings or resolutions above 1080p will reward more modern hardware than the published recommended spec.

Platforms, Steam Deck & console

The Steam page lists Windows only — there is no Mac, Linux, or native SteamOS support shown, and no console version (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or Switch) has been announced for either the regional or the global release. As of May 31, 2026, the Steam page also carries no published Steam Deck compatibility rating (Verified, Playable, or Unsupported); because Aion 2 is a Windows/DirectX 12 title, any Deck play would depend on Proton once the game is testable. Treat Steam Deck support as unconfirmed until Valve assigns a rating closer to launch.

Do these specs apply to the global release?

Yes. The specs above are listed on the international Steam page and match NC’s April 2026 PC requirements, so they are the authoritative numbers for the global PC build (targeted for H2 2026). It is worth separating the two releases, though: Aion 2 already launched in South Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025, and that version is cross-platform (PC and mobile). The Western/global release is described as PC-native and distributed via Steam and NC’s PURPLE launcher, with dedicated servers for North America, South America, Europe and Japan. If any third-party aggregator page disagrees with the figures here, treat the official Steam listing as the source of truth.

What’s not confirmed yet

  • Exact global release date (only “second half of 2026” has been confirmed as of May 31, 2026).
  • Official Steam Deck compatibility rating (Verified / Playable / Unsupported) — none was listed on the Steam page at the time of writing.
  • Any console version (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch) — none has been announced.
  • DLSS/FSR upscaling, ray-tracing, ultrawide support, and FPS targets at 1440p/4K — not detailed in the published spec tables.
  • Day-one install size beyond the 100 GB “available space” figure, and whether it grows after launch patches.

Frequently asked questions

  • What are the minimum PC requirements for Aion 2?

Per the official Steam store page (app 3393110): Windows 10/11 (64-bit), an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-10500 CPU, 8 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti (4GB) or AMD Radeon RX 470 (4GB) GPU, DirectX 12, and 100 GB of storage. NC recommends an SSD, and at 1080p the Very Low graphics preset.

  • What are the recommended PC requirements for Aion 2?

Officially: Windows 10/11 (64-bit), an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-11700 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA RTX 2070 (8GB) or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (8GB) GPU, DirectX 12, and 100 GB of storage. NC's guidance targets the Low preset at 1080p even at this tier, so higher settings will want stronger hardware.

  • How much storage does Aion 2 need?

The Steam page lists 100 GB of available space for both the minimum and recommended specs, with an SSD recommended. Post-launch updates can increase the real install size over time.

  • Will Aion 2 run on the Steam Deck?

As of May 31, 2026 there is no official Steam Deck compatibility rating on the Steam page. It is a Windows/DirectX 12 game, so Deck play would depend on Proton once it is testable. Treat Steam Deck support as unconfirmed until Valve assigns a rating near launch.

  • Is Aion 2 on Steam, and is it PC-only?

Yes. The global version is built specifically for PC and is distributed via Steam (app 3393110) and NC's PURPLE launcher. The Steam listing shows Windows only — no Mac, Linux, or native SteamOS support — and no console version has been announced.

  • Do I need a high-end gaming PC to play Aion 2?

No. Despite being an Unreal Engine 5 game, the minimum and recommended specs use mainstream, several-generations-old parts. A recommended-tier rig (Ryzen 7 3700X / Core i7-11700, 16 GB RAM, RTX 2070-class GPU, SSD) should run it well at 1080p; maxing out higher resolutions will benefit from newer hardware.
