The Dark campaign from Ishalgen through the Shadow Forest, the Ascension to Daeva at level 6, and your first Altgard hideouts and enchants — the start of the Asmodian road to Krao Cave.

Overview: the Asmodian 1–10 journey

The Asmodian story opens in Ishalgen, in the fog and shadow of the Dark faction's homeland. You escape, push through the Shadow Forest and the Isolated Lake, and by level 6 reach the defining moment of the early game: your Ascension, when you become a Daeva and earn your wings. By level 10 you're established in the Altgard region with your first real gear and access to the hideouts.

The priorities are the same on both sides: follow the yellow main-story quests for experience, take the Ascension the moment it appears at level 6, and at level 10 start clearing the Altgard hideouts for Enhance Stones and Daevanion Crystals.

Becoming a Daeva: the Ascension at level 6

At level 6 the main story gives you "Spread Your Wings," which sends you to Asahr in the Ascension Subspace. Completing it is your Ascension — you become a Daeva and gain flight. (Asmodians ascend one level later than the Elyos, who do it at level 5, but the step is the same.) Don't skip or delay it: it gates the rest of your progression and every later system builds on it.

As on the Elyos side, there’s almost no field side-questing this early — your experience is the main story plus the Ascension. The hideout “Exploration” quests only become worthwhile at their recommended level 10, covered next.

Hideouts to clear once you hit level 10

Hideouts are instanced sealed dungeons and your main source of leveling power. They’re recommended at level 10 and sit around the Altgard region. Each first clear is a one-time payout (no reset) of 15,000 Kina, 500 Enhance Stones, 2 Daevanion Crystals, plus a wing material, a statue scrap and a title. The level-10 Asmodian (Altgard) hideouts are:

Run them as they unlock — they’re the best power-per-minute in the band and feed the enchanting step below.

Gear and your first enchants

Your gear in this band comes from main-story and side-quest rewards, the starter set you're given around level 10, and the basic Altgard vendors. Always equip the highest item-level piece in every slot — your Gear Score is the sum of equipped item levels plus enchant levels, so even small upgrades count.

Once you're clearing hideouts you can start enchanting. Early enchants are cheap and succeed 100% of the time at the low tiers, costing Kina plus Enhance Stones — and that first hideout clear already hands you 500 stones. Push your weapon first, then armor. You're a long way from the Gear Score 1000 needed for Krao Cave Normal — that's the goal across the next bands — but every +1 here counts.

What's next

By level 10 you've ascended, geared up in Altgard, and cleared your first hideouts. The Asmodian 10–25 chapter takes the Dark campaign deeper into Altgard, unlocks the Daevanion board (level 12) and Stigmas (level 23), and introduces the strongholds that supply your belt Enhance Scrolls.
