AION 2 Founder's Packs On Sale: Prices, Contents & the September 30 Early Access Date

On July 22, 2026 at 16:00 UTC, the AION 2 team published a "New Product Info" notice to the official notice board at aion2.plaync.com, and pre-purchase went live the same day on both Steam and NC's PURPLE launcher (sales opened July 22 at 6:00 AM PDT and run until the end of the Early Access period). This is the pricing reveal NC promised in its July 8 Business Model notice: AION 2 Standard Founder's Pack at USD 24.99, Deluxe at USD 49.99, and Ultimate at USD 99.99. Prices in other currencies vary with exchange rates — the packs are also listed regionally on Steam (for example €21.25 / €42.49 / €84.99 in the eurozone at the time of writing).

Two purchase rules are worth reading before buying. First, you may buy only one Founder's Pack per account, choosing one of the three tiers. Second, the packs are platform-locked: a pack bought on Steam is playable only through Steam, and a pack bought on PURPLE only through PURPLE — including the 5-day advance access itself. All platforms share the same servers, so where you buy does not affect who you play with. NC also posted a companion notice the same day explaining a one-time 3D Secure card-verification step some buyers will hit on their first payment through its provider Xsolla.

Standard ($24.99) is the entry ticket: 5-day advance access, the Daeva's Campaign Supply Chest (a bound bundle of early-game consumables — 10 each of Return, Courage, Speed, Benediction, and Absorption Scrolls, 100 Life Potions, 50 Life Serums, 30 Healing Potions, 10,000 Power Shards, and 5 Resurrection Spiritstones), and the Unique-grade title Vanguard of Atreia.

Deluxe ($49.99) adds two cosmetics on top of everything in Standard: the Ascended Daeva armor skin set (7 pieces — breastplate, greaves, helm, pauldrons, gloves, boots, and cloak) and the Eternal Sun weapon skin chest, a weapon appearance with a special visual effect. Ultimate ($99.99) includes everything in Deluxe and adds the Moonlit Aria armor skin set (6 pieces), the Black Dragon pet, the Blazing Sun Wings skin, and a Daeva's Styling Chest containing a Customization Voucher and a 7-day Appearance Change Voucher. Every item is account-bound and cannot be traded, and NC states explicitly that the title, skins, pet, and wings are appearance-only with no additional stats — consistent with the cosmetics-leaning model from the July 8 monetization notice.

If you start small, upgrade products exist — but only on PURPLE, not Steam. Standard-to-Deluxe costs USD 25, Standard-to-Ultimate USD 75, and Deluxe-to-Ultimate USD 50 — in each case exactly the price difference between tiers, and each available only to accounts owning the lower pack. Steam buyers who want a higher tier have no announced upgrade path, which makes the tier choice more binding on Steam.

On refunds: Founder's Packs are refundable up to the official game launch. After launch, refund requests are eligible within 14 days provided you have played less than 2 hours and have not claimed any bundled items, with Steam and PURPLE each applying their own platform refund process. Buying multiple packs across platforms grants no extra benefit — the 5-day advance access does not stack or extend. NC also notes the packs are being sold in some countries while age-rating review is still pending, and that certain pack components "may be resold in identical or similar forms in the future."

Buried in the notice's numbered notes is the most consequential line: "Advanced access begins on September 30 and runs for 5 days," with identical start and end dates for all buyers regardless of purchase timing. The Steam pre-purchase listings carry the matching label "Advance Access — Starts 30 Sep." This is the first time NC has put a calendar date on the Founder's Pack head start, which the July 17 Early Access notice had left open.

As of July 22, 2026, NC has still not formally announced the official launch day itself — but a 5-day advance access beginning September 30 places the full free-to-play launch in early October 2026, not September. Steam's release field still reads "September 2026," and no NC channel has reconciled the two, so we treat the launch day as unannounced and the early-October implication as exactly that. Players who join mid-window can start immediately upon purchase, and NC warns maintenance during the 5 days may trim actual playable time.
