AION 2 Restricts 4,996 Accounts for Botting and Gold Farming
NC's October 11, 2026 notice says it restricted 4,996 accounts on October 10-11 for bots, gold farming, economy abuse and RMT, and separately locked a small number of accounts as a security precaution, which it says is not a penalty.

What NC's October 11 notice says
On October 11, 2026, the AION 2 Team posted "Account Restrictions: Operation Policy Violations and Temporary Security Locks" on the official notice board. It reports that NC restricted 4,996 accounts on October 10 at 23:00 PDT (October 11 at 08:00 CEST), citing the Operation Policy's Sanctions Table entries for gold farming and bot operations, use of unauthorized programs, and real-money trading (RMT). The notice names two targets: botting and gold farming (macros, bots or other unauthorized programs, and organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or RMT) and economy abuse (abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the game economy).
NC says restrictions are applied only after review and that normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected. This follows NC's October 4 warning against buying Kinah and Quna, which called itself a first and only warning. The new notice does not say whether the 4,996 accounts were buyers, sellers or bot operators, and it does not break the figure down by region or server.
Temporary security locks are not bans
Separately, NC says a small number of accounts were temporarily locked as a precaution after it detected access from a device or connection that poses a potential security risk, such as a possible account compromise. The notice states a security lock is not a penalty: it protects the account and its items until the situation can be verified, and affected players should contact Customer Support to restore access. NC gives no count for locked accounts.
Players who believe a restriction or lock was a mistake are told to submit a ticket through NC's AION 2 Global support site; NC says every request is reviewed individually. It gives no deadline or expected response time.
Also on October 11: a short Yustiel outage
A separate October 11 notice says players on the Yustiel server in the Asia region had connection instability at about 9:00 AM JST. NC says it was resolved at about 9:10 AM JST and the server is operating normally. No compensation was announced. For the larger EU incident earlier in the week, see our EU outage compensation post.
