What NC's October 4 notice says

On October 4, 2026, the AION 2 Team posted "Warning About Purchasing Illicit Currency" on the official notice board, the day before global launch. It says NC is monitoring illicit purchases from third-party sources and that buying Kinah or Quna from unauthorized parties is strictly against the Terms of Service and will be met with consequences up to and including termination of access to the game. Kinah and Quna are the two currencies of the economy described in the July 8 monetization notice.

NC also says it reserves the right to disclose information about disciplinary actions, and calls the notice a first and only warning. The notice does not describe how violations are detected, and it names no specific sellers or penalties beyond account termination.

What it means for players

The only sanctioned ways to get currency are in-game play and NC's own stores. See our free-to-play guide for how the official shop and Membership work. Third-party sellers are not NC channels.
