War for Atreia: The Captains, the Legions, the Stream Schedule and How Scoring Works

When NC first announced War for Atreia on September 19, it gave four sentences and no names. As of September 25, 2026, the gaps are mostly filled. An NC America press release dated September 21 names the captains, and the event site at warforatreia.com — linked from the official AION 2 YouTube channel — now carries the legions, a stream calendar and a rules section.

The three regions are North America, Europe and Latin America. Each region fields one Elyos legion and one Asmodian legion of ten creators, so every region has creators on both sides of the faction war. Japan, the fourth server region NC has announced for the global launch, has no legion. NC picked the six captains; per the press release, the other 54 creators went into regional draft pools of 18, and the two captains in each region took turns picking from their pool on the September 23 draft stream.

Rosters as listed on warforatreia.com on September 25. The site has two apparent errors: CAHOS_GAMING appears on both Team Wakayashi and Team Rakin, and SerllinoGG is listed twice on Team Rakin. We reproduce the list as published and will correct it if the site does. The press release says each legion gets a name and sigil at the end of the draft, but the site still labels the teams by captain.

The site calls its calendar "Convergence" and describes it as the official Twitch broadcasts from the team draft to the final standings reveal. NC's September 24 YouTube post says the First Strike stream airs on both Twitch and YouTube. Times are in PDT on the site; the UTC conversions are ours. For comparison, Steam lists the October 5 launch at 13:00 UTC, so the October 5 War Desk stream starts four hours into launch day.

The other days on the calendar just say "Tune in to the competition", which presumably means the creators' own streams. Nothing is scheduled after the October 15 Finals. That answers the end-date question: the September 19 announcement's "two weeks" runs from September 30 to a finals broadcast on October 15. The site does not explain "Wildcard Release". It could be the "mid-campaign hidden bounties" from the press release or the "War Orders" in the rules, but NC has not said so.

The rules section ("Covenant") says points come from five areas, and that most of them come from playing AION 2:

• Progression — leveling, raising item level, character milestones.
• PvE — dungeons and other PvE challenges, solo and with the legion.
• PvP — fighting the opposing faction, winning Battlegrounds, defeating enemy players.
• Twitch — completing the required weekly AION 2 streaming hours on Twitch.
• War Orders — special challenges issued during the event, each with its own objective, window, required participants, proof and point value.

Points roll up from player to legion to faction. The press release calls these two races, the global Faction War (Elyos vs Asmodians) and the Top Legion. Repeatable activities have scoring caps that reset each competition week, while one-time milestones do not reset. Normal Progression, PvE and PvP scoring needs no submissions or stream monitoring. Manual checks apply only to War Orders that ask for proof, such as a Twitch VOD or clip, a timestamp, a screenshot or character information. The fair-play rule allows strategy, including targeting opponents, but bans "manufacturing" events just to farm points. The conduct rule encourages trash talk but bans harassment, doxxing and targeted dogpiling.

The press release promises "exclusive rewards for watching your favorite streamers" and "exclusive follow-up Twitch drops". It also says each "viewer recruited" feeds the two races, but it does not explain how a viewer counts as recruited. No reward is named yet. NC has added a Twitch Drops page to aion2.plaync.com with a "Link Your Twitch Account" button and a Steam option for players on Steam. Its FAQ says drops go to AION 2 Global players only, not Korea or Taiwan accounts. As of September 25 it lists no campaign, no rewards and no dates, and it does not mention War for Atreia by name.

There is no sign-up for players or creators. The 60 creators were chosen and drafted, and no application or open call has appeared on any official channel. NC has also not said whether the creators play on ordinary Early Access and launch servers or on something set aside for the event. The site describes itself as showing "live standings", but no standings table is visible yet, which makes sense before September 30.

If you are picking a faction partly to follow a creator, your first real choice comes on September 30 for Founder's Pack holders, or on October 5 for everyone else. The legions are split by region, so the creators on your side depend on which region's servers you play on.
