AION 2 October 6 Patch Notes: Free Founder's Pack Shop, Morph Limit and Drop Boosts
NC's first weekly patch after launch opens a free Founder's Pack shop on all characters and servers, caps Substance Morphs at 20 per server per week, raises Raw Leather drops and adds a Kina-priced Resurrection Spiritstone.

Founder's Pack shop now works on every character and server
The patch applied during the October 6 (PDT) / October 7 (CEST) maintenance delivers what NC promised in its Founder's Pack cosmetics notice. Purchasers can use Skins, Titles and other items on other characters and servers, and can use a dedicated Shop to get items they do not yet own for free, based on their Founder's Pack tier. NC says the free shop stays open for all characters on all servers until a closure notice is issued.
Items you already own are not bought again. If you end up with duplicates in your inventory, NC plans to add a way to discard them later. Skins obtained in duplicate through the dedicated shop do not count toward the purchase limit for paid Skins, and a fix to prevent duplicate entries is planned for a future update. Economy and drop changes
As of October 8, 2026, the notes list four gameplay changes. A weekly limit of 20 Morphs per server is added to the Substance Morph formula that turns Sealed Wings into Enhance Stones. The drop rate of Raw Leather is increased for monsters in Chaotic Lower Reshanta, and separately for monsters in Verteron and Altgard. NC does not publish the new rates.
New Kina items are added to the Wind Breeze Merchants (In-Game Menu > Shop > Wind Breeze Merchants > Special). The listed item is Resurrection Spiritstone (Season 1) at 25,000 Kina each, limited to 10 purchases per server per week, on sale from after the October 6 maintenance until before the maintenance on Wednesday, December 15, 2026 (PST). The same item was gifted in the 400,000-player milestone notice.
Fixes
The Map Pin limit display is corrected: you can place up to 30 Map Pins. The Asmodian Challenge Season weekly mission "Daeva of Glorious Deeds" that could not be completed is fixed. The "Movement Controls" option that appeared several times under Settings > Key Settings > General is fixed, as are certain Emote commands that did not work in chat.
The notes do not mention the Sanctuary Raid: Ludra removal covered in NC's October 5 notice, so nothing about its replacement is confirmed here.
