AION 2 Patch Notes — August 19, 2026
A light week between two heavy ones. The Gladiator's Ruinous Blow stops being a charge skill and becomes a basic area-of-effect hit, Abyss boss and Artifact stats and the PvP contribution they award are raised sharply, and a mid-run exit rule finally lets you leave an Expedition, Transcendence or Sanctuary you joined mid-boss with no contribution. Two material-conversion blueprints, the 'Path That Connects Hearts' attendance book, a four-week Arcana Growth Support event on Noiran's Hidden Legacy and Abyssal Horn Den, and a long fix list for the two instances that opened on August 12 round it out. Content & Systems
August 19 is a light content week. There is no new instance and no new gear tier — the substance is two material-conversion blueprints, one Trial Shop addition, a short class pass, and an unusually long fix list aimed at the two instances that opened the week before.
Material conversion
- A blueprint is added to material-convert 'Lower Abyss Rift Stone (Soul-bound)' into 'Middle Abyss Rift Stone (Soul-bound)'.
- A blueprint is added to material-convert 'Philosopher's Stone: Power (Soul-bound)' into 'Philosopher's Stone: Revelation (Soul-bound)'.
Trial Shop
- 'Wings of Awakened Pride (Soul-bound)' is added to the [Expedition – Trial Shop].
Class Changes
A short pass. The one structural change is to the Gladiator's Ruinous Blow, which stops being a charge skill entirely and becomes a basic area-of-effect hit — the same direction the July 22 and July 29 notes took with other charge skills, trading the charge window for reliability.

Attendance book: 'The Path That Connects Hearts'
Runs from August 19, 2026 (after regular maintenance) to September 23, 2026 (before regular maintenance). Rewards are claimed from [In-game Menu] → [Attendance]. The attendance book resets daily at 00:00.
It runs 28 days, but the reward list is a 14-day cycle played twice — days 15–28 repeat days 1–14 exactly, so only the first cycle is reproduced here.

Transcendence: Arcana Growth Support
Runs from August 19, 2026 (after regular maintenance) to September 16, 2026 (before regular maintenance). Note that the August 26 update extends this by a further week, to September 23.
For the duration, opening an Odyle Energy Cube in either of two dungeons triples the amount of some items obtained, and adds two more.

Improvements
- Abyss boss and Artifact stats, and the PvP contribution they award, are raised sharply. These numbers may be adjusted again so that PvP can earn a higher contribution score.
- Mid-run exit / teleport exception handling for Expedition, Transcendence and Sanctuary — an exception condition is applied to fix players being unable to progress or leave the dungeon after joining while the final boss was already in combat. If the final boss is in combat, your position is outside the final boss zone, and you have no contribution, you can now leave the dungeon. (This item was added to the note on August 19 at 15:00.)
Fixes
Most of the list targets Consumed Deus Research Base and Noiran's Hidden Legacy, the two instances that opened on August 12.
- Fixed 'Chaos Conqueror (Skin: Headpiece) (Soul-bound)' — awarded to General and Grand General as last season's Abyss ranking reward — having its grade wrongly set to Common.
- Growth Support: clearing 'Consumed Deus Research Base' or 'Noiran's Hidden Legacy' now increments the Expedition / Transcendence dungeon-clear mission count.
- Battlefield: the threshold for being expelled for not participating in combat is relaxed.
- Fixed matching intermittently failing on a re-match after completing a battlefield in a party made up of players from different servers.
- Expedition 'Cradle of Nihility': the fall-death height in the boss space is raised relative to before.
- Expedition 'Dying Dramata's Nest': the fall-death height in the boss space is raised relative to before.
- Transcendence 'Mirror of Scarlet Desire': fixed the wrong portrait being shown in Robstino's dialogue.
- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': the destroyed floor is now generated when Prideful Atiel is defeated.
- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': Overseer Gromkas's combat-reset distance is widened.
- Transcendence 'Noiran's Hidden Legacy': fixed fall-deaths in the Bio-Implant Testing Lab where Mad Klominster is located.
- Fixed the Brawler's Whirlwind, used in the Frenzy state, targeting Turgen's sword and Robstino's flower.

- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': fixed boss Zylus applying the Electrocuted status even when a certain attack was defended with Focused Block or Evasion Stance.
- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': fixed boss Atiel's cross explosion intermittently not occurring, or exploding at an unintended time, on a certain skill.
- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': fixed 'Mortal's Bind' and 'Ring of Fate' being applied simultaneously during the Atiel fight.
- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': fixed Atiel's 'Ring of Fate' being ignorable with invulnerability skills such as the Cleric's Salvation. (Note that the August 26 update reverses this and makes it avoidable again.)
- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': fixed Atiel pushing players outward during the groggy motion when it entered the groggy state immediately before triggering the 'Earth Collapse' pattern.
- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': fixed players bound by Atiel's charge attack taking damage and being knocked back.
- Expedition 'Consumed Deus Research Base': fixed Atiel's grab skill applying a movement-blocked status to targets it had not grabbed.
- Transcendence 'Noiran's Hidden Legacy': fixed a certain attack from boss Askran damaging players in the Petrified state.
- Transcendence 'Noiran's Hidden Legacy': fixed Askran's rotating laser attack dealing no damage when defended with Evasion Stance or a shield / weapon block.
- Trial 'Vakron Sky Island': fixed the attack-range indicator not being shown for a certain attack from boss Tie.
- Fixed chat with characters on other servers via Purple Talk not being surfaced in-game.
- DLSS Frame Generation, which had been temporarily disabled on RTX 50-series Laptop GPU setups, is re-enabled. On some laptops, using DLSS Frame Generation while G-SYNC is enabled causes an abnormal shutdown — see the related notice on the official board.
