AION 2 Patch Notes — July 8, 2026

The July 8, 2026 update is the first weekly patch of Chapter 1. It centers on a broad class-balance pass — touching the Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, the new Brawler, Ranger, Chanter, Spiritmaster and Sorcerer — headlined by a global 30% cut to PvP damage across every class. It also adds bundle-crafting and material-conversion blueprints, a Philosopher's Stone reward to Citadel of the Fallen Daeva Conquest, a run of Citadel and Corroded Decontamination Facility boss fixes, and same-grade inheritance-material restoration. Content & Systems

The July 8 update is the first weekly patch of Chapter 1 — a light content pass built around a broad class-balance adjustment, plus a few crafting and conversion conveniences.

Crafting & conversion

  • A blueprint to craft cooking dishes and drinks in bundles of 10 is added.
  • A blueprint to material-convert Daevanion Crystal Shards into 'Soul Book (Soul-bound)' is added.

Expedition & Battleground

  • 'Citadel of the Fallen Daeva' Conquest: the Odyle Energy Cube reward now includes 'Philosopher's Stone: Revelation (Soul-bound)'.
  • Some of the base stats applied inside Battlegrounds are adjusted.

Class Changes

A broad balance pass across most classes — including the new Brawler. The headline change is in Common: every class's PvP damage is cut by 30%. Skill names are mapped through the game data; percentage arrows read old ▶ new. Brawler skills not yet in the datamined data are marked provisionally with the Korean name.

The Encore Collection returns a large batch of cosmetics to the shop from July 8 to July 22 — see the official note for full prices and contents.

  • Armor appearances (8): Snowflake See-through, Cool-headed Maid, Tech Biker, Uniform Tinged with Excitement, Loose-fit Street Mood, Daeva of Awakening, Daeva of Beginning, and Moon's Protection.
  • Weapon appearances, new pets, and new wings are also offered. Prices are listed per store (Purple Store basis).

Improvements

  • [Achievement – Clash – Sanctuary]: Sanctuary-clear counts are lowered across the board.
  • [Season – Season Mission – Challenge – Weekly]: the new Eltnen/Morheim regions are added to the completion conditions for 'Pride of the Elyos/Asmodian Army' and 'Flying the White/Black Flag'.
  • A maximum cap is added to the PvP-related stats that apply in the Chaotic Ereshranta Surface.
  • The Abyss-grade reward-ranking buff no longer applies in the Chaotic Ereshranta Surface.

Fixes

  • Sanctuary 'Corroded Decontamination Facility' boss 'Terminator Bargott': fixed being able to throw the 'Bargott Time Bomb' at allies.
  • 'Terminator Bargott': fixed the wipe skill being counterable with evasion or block skills.
  • Expedition 'Citadel of the Fallen Daeva' boss 'Griossa': fixed being able to apply 'Slow'.
  • 'Griossa': fixed the attack-range warning intermittently not showing or not matching the effect on certain skills, and fixed the 'Lightning Roar' pattern intermittently not firing its projectile.
  • 'Citadel of the Fallen Daeva' — the 'Executioner Blade': fixed glide speed increasing abnormally when hit mid-glide.
  • Nightmare 'Dream Layer IV' boss 'Awakened Atheron': fixed the projectile portals all vanishing when a Spiritmaster unsummoned a spirit mid-pattern.
  • Fixed the item-recovery notice text so it line-breaks correctly.
  • Fixed the last tick of damage-over-time effects intermittently not applying.
  • Fixed enemy-race players who moved to Eltnen/Morheim via the Rift of Time-Space being able to use the teleport portal to reach Verteron/Altgard.

Recovery & restoration

  • With same-grade inheritance now succeeding at 100%, the inheritance stones previously spent on failed same-grade inheritance are retroactively granted back as same-grade 'Inheritance Stone Fragment (Soul-bound)'.
  • AION2CHAPTERONE coupon: if you obtained an expired 'Clash Rune Bundle (Soul-bound)' via the coupon after the July 1 maintenance, the expired item is removed and reissued as a 'Clash Rune Bundle (Soul-bound)' expiring November 4.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the biggest change in the July 8 AION 2 patch?

    A global PvP nerf: every class's PvP damage is reduced by 30%, alongside a broad per-class balance pass. The Common skill Defiance is also reworked so its damage-resist effect moves to a different specialization slot.

  • Did the new Brawler class get changes?

    Yes. The Brawler received mostly bug fixes and tuning — Bloodflow Block and Ground Smash gain life-steal, Chi Release gets faster projectiles, and Focused Block, Full Power, Frenzy, Assault Strike and Reversal are fixed. Some Brawler skill names are still provisional pending the datamined English strings.

  • What was fixed in Citadel of the Fallen Daeva?

    The boss Griossa can no longer be slowed, its attack-range warnings and 'Lightning Roar' projectile were fixed, and the 'Executioner Blade' glide-speed bug was corrected. Corroded Decontamination Facility's Terminator Bargott also had its bomb-throw and counterable-wipe issues fixed.

  • Are failed inheritance materials being refunded?

    Yes. Because same-grade inheritance now succeeds at 100%, the inheritance stones spent on previously failed same-grade attempts are being returned as same-grade 'Inheritance Stone Fragment (Soul-bound)'.
