AION 2 Global Patch Notes — October 5, 2026 (Launch Maintenance)
The 8-hour maintenance from 22:00 PDT on October 4 (05:00 UTC, October 5) ended Advanced Access and started AION 2 Global's commercial launch. Character deletion now takes 24 hours instead of 168 and works from Level 1, the idle timeout to server select rises from 30 minutes to 3 hours, some five-player bosses get tougher, and Poeta / Ishalgen Hero Quest players get a Quest Tracker teleport to Verteron or Altgard. Until a Journal - Duty bug is fixed, don't open the Duty tab before Level 45.

Maintenance window
NC's weekly scheduled maintenance for the Global service, and the one that turned Advanced Access into the full launch. The game cannot be played while it runs; anyone online is disconnected when it starts.

Improvements
Character deletion requirements change:

- With no input, the wait before you are sent back to the server selection screen goes from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
- In-game announcements stay on screen for 10 seconds instead of 3.
- Interacting with objects needed for quest progress is made smoother: some objects no longer disappear, and others respawn faster.
- Some bosses' stats are adjusted, because they were set too low for the intended difficulty of a five-player party.
- Players on the Poeta / Ishalgen Hero Quests can teleport to Verteron or Altgard even when they otherwise couldn't travel there. The teleport is a button in the Quest Tracker.
Bug fixes
- Fixed characters occasionally snapping back to their previous position when approaching other players while using Auto Move during a quest.
- Fixed the 'Content' entry appearing more than once in Settings > Key Settings > Menu list.
- Fixed being unable to continue with later quests if the client closed while a quest was in progress.
- English client: fixed the title 'Vanguard of Atreia' showing as 'Shaper of Heavens' in the title menu after it was obtained.
- An error with the Journal - Duty content is being fixed (see the workaround below).
Journal - Duty: workaround until the fix
Until the Duty fix lands, the timing of when you first open the Journal's "Duty" tab decides when you can use it at Level 45:
