AION 2 Patch Notes — April 29, 2026

The April 29, 2026 update is a class-wide PvP balance pass: PvP stat caps are removed, a Rage Burst rework leads sweeping per-class tuning, the Abyss gets boss renames, buffs and collectible paintings, and the Fresh Breeze Festival event opens. Translated from the official Korean update note.

Expeditions

  • Hall of Illusion Odd Energy Cube adds the Unique “Scattered Radiance Necklace” and “Scattered Radiance Ring.”
  • Azure Breath Island Odd Energy Cube adds the Unique “Scattered Radiance Earring” and the Heroic “Eroded Afterimage Ring”; loot from its Fungi monsters is removed.

PvP Balance (system)

  • The acquisition cap on PvP Damage Amplification and PvP Damage Resistance stats is removed.
  • The minimum-damage floor from the PvP amp/resistance formula is set to 20%.

Abyss

  • “Watcher Kaira” and “Spirit King Agro” in the boss-spawn event are renamed “Executioner Kaira” and “Executioner Agro” to distinguish them from the same-named bosses.
  • New collectible paintings drop from the post-capture Abyss bosses (Executioner Tamasa in Lower Chaotic Ereshranta; Executioner Dramos / Traitor Dukal / Destroyer Maraka in Middle).
  • Stats of Lower Chaotic Ereshranta executioners raised; Watcher Kaira spawn locations adjusted; terrain favoring one faction removed in Middle.
  • Abyss season-mission tuning, and the “Abyss Corridor” monsters no longer drop Potential Amplification Stone: Abyss.

Class Changes

Common

  • Impact Hit: shock-type accuracy stat now scales 12% at level 1, +1.2% per level.
  • Survival Willpower / Revitalization Contract: status resistance now 17% at level 1, +2% per level. Life-steal floaters/messages now sum the recovery, life-steal is no longer affected by reduced-healing stats, and stealth is not broken by hits for 0.5s after entering.

Gladiator (검성)

Ruinous Blow / Leaping Slam“Combat Ready” now also adds +15% status-effect accuracy.
Mocking BladePvE damage +20%; life-steal changed 15% → 4% (15% vs. action-immune targets).
Crushing WaveSpec 1 removes the “on crit” condition from its life-steal.
Aerial SnareSpec 3's bonus damage vs. action-immune targets raised +50% → +100%.
Murderous BurstPassive PvE damage +30%.
Rage BurstReworked: on hit, −10% target attack for 10s and +10% PvE / +5% PvP self damage amp, enabling Overhead Slam for 10s. The attack-down does not stack with Templar Taunt. Spec 2 → −10% more attack; Spec 4 → +5% PvE / +2.5% PvP amp.
Lunge StanceSpec 1 changed from MP-cost reduction to +5% heavy strike.
Lifestealing BladeChanged from 7% damage recovery to 2% HP life-steal.
TenaciousnessNow removes damage-over-time effects on use.

Templar (수호성)

  • “A Fond Journey Together” — 28-day attendance book (Apr 29 → June 3 maintenance).
  • Fresh Breeze Festival: a new event pass “Fresh Season” (Basic + Premium, 60 levels with repeat rewards), event season missions awarding “Fresh Lime,” and a coin-merchant NPC shop in each faction town selling Odd Energy, Abyssal Forge reward tickets, pet boxes, enchant stones and more for Fresh Lime.
  • Daeva Look Change Week (Apr 29 → May 13): dyeing cost −50% (200 → 100 Quna).
  • New armor skins (Sharp Slim-Fit Shirt, Cozy Pajama Shirt) and new pets (Harp Seal, Void).

Other improvements & fixes

  • Crafting disabled in the Abyss; the Kinah fee charged when crafting via the management UI is removed; movement-control immunity while on wind paths.
  • Many Azure Breath Island boss fixes (Wise Baumnut's lightning stun → DoT, range tuning, anti-cheese on its wipe skill; Awakened Alturadon pattern-loop and aggro fixes; Expanding Zairpe mushroom-zone and collision fixes).
  • Hall of Illusion: the Illusion Veil now deals extra damage along its path; Nathara's wipe-skill fix; Glassbane crystal cleanup fix.
  • Corroded Decontamination Facility boss Terminator Bargott: groggy gauge locks when chains are applied; fixed bombs not spawning below 50% HP before the first removal pattern.
  • Numerous UI/stat display fixes (attack/defense from Power and faction stats, Daeva supply box server-storage, sound improvements on potions and Cleric Light of Protection / Noble Aura).
