AION 2 Patch Notes — April 22, 2026

A foundational update: Damage Amplification/Resistance split into separate PvE and PvP stats, a game-wide life-steal rework, the new Azure Breath Island expedition, Sanctuary resurrection rules, Nightmare instant-complete, and Abyss boss-spawn events. Content & Systems

Expeditions

  • New expedition “Azure Breath Island” added in Exploration/Conquest (Normal, Hard).
  • Part of the Kinah from Expedition Odd Energy Cubes is moved into the mid-boss loot list.

Sanctuary resurrection rules

In mid-boss and boss rooms, skill resurrections and Spirit-Stone direct resurrections share a combined total of 2. The count resets at the start of each boss fight, on a kill, and on a party wipe. Outside boss rooms there is no deduction or reset, and basic/Kisk resurrection is unrestricted.

Nightmare

  • An [Instant Complete] button is added to the lobby for stages already cleared at least once, consuming an “Instant Complete Ticket: Nightmare” and a challenge attempt to grant repeat rewards (no ranking points; buffs cleared on entry).
  • Following the life-steal change, Nightmare boss attack and damage amplification are reduced (2.5%–15%).

Other systems

  • Dimensional Invasion reward keys and Mission (Duty) quest counts become server-wide; Mission rewards (excluding gear) roughly doubled.
  • Abyss: server rematch; the Artifact Capture schedule moves to Wed/Sat 22:00 (offset by group), with post-capture boss-spawn events at 22:30 in Lower/Middle Chaotic Ereshranta, Guardian General Nahma moved to Fri/Sun 22:00, field bosses despawning after 30 min, and the Abyss Corridor reworked to 1 player / 2 minutes with higher Kinah and Abyss Point rewards.
  • Shugo Festa now activates every hour on the hour; Unique-gear chance from main rewards slightly reduced.

Class Changes — system overhaul

Common (applies to all classes)

  • Damage Amplification and Damage Resistance are split into separate PvE and PvP stats. Existing values become the PvE values; the PvP values are set to 50% of the PvE values.
  • “Damage-proportional life-steal” becomes a flat life-steal: e.g. “5% life-steal” = 5% of damage (capped at 10% of max HP) + 5% of max HP recovery.
  • Teleport-type skills' teleport animation time is now affected by combat speed.

The bulk of the per-class change list converts each skill's old “X% damage life-steal” spec into a smaller flat “Y% HP life-steal” (typically 2nd-spec 7%→1.5–2%, opener specs 20–30%→3–10%). Below are the changes beyond that conversion — reworks, damage adjustments and party-synergy changes.

Gladiator (검성)

Templar (수호성)

Warding StrikeParty Spec 5 changed to +10% PvE / +5% PvP damage resistance.
Nezakan's ShieldShield absorption +20%; Spec 4 HP recovery now also fires when the shield is removed.

Assassin (살성)

Ranger (궁성)

Sorcerer (마도성)

Spiritmaster (정령성)

Benevolence / Noble AuraHealing Aura becomes Benevolence (party HoT around you); Touch of Rebirth becomes Noble Aura (a 5-min summon that attacks alongside you, 2s cd).
Debilitating Mark / Light of ProtectionMark becomes a damage-amp-down debuff; Light of Protection becomes a toggle PvE/PvP amp+resistance buff (doesn't stack with Chanter's Invincible Mantra).

Chanter (호법성)

Wave Blow / Invincible Mantra / Dash Mantra / Barrier of Blocking / Focused DefenseWave Blow Spec 4 → PvE −10% / PvP −5%; Invincible Mantra doesn't stack with Light of Protection; Barrier of Blocking +40% shield; Focused Defense −10,000 evasion while in use.

Items, combat power & UI

  • Material conversion: convert 30× “Attunement Stone Fragment (Unique)” → “Attunement Stone (Unique),” and 10× Unique → Heroic; Daevanion crystals now yield 20 Soul Books (was 10).
  • Items: higher vendor price on Unique expedition gear; +1% HP per armor breakthrough stage; HP-recovery consumables buffed (potions, elixirs, crystals); attribute divine-stone damage greatly increased.
  • Combat power: passive-stat contribution now counts at 50%, with passive-level and high-level active-skill and HP contributions raised to compensate.
  • UI: enhancement stages shown in conversion material windows, inheritance info in detail tooltips, scrolling-text speed option, and Sanctuary party-info challenge/reward counts.

Events, promotion & fixes

  • Event: Stigma Renewal Chance — free Stigma skill resets (Apr 22 → Apr 29).
  • Event: Odd Energy Pass — a new Kinah-based pass (20 levels + repeats) via “Odd's Grace,” granting Conquest final-boss kill tickets and Odd Energy.
  • Promotion: Encore Collection armor skin “Loose-Fit Street Mood.”
  • Fixes: numerous Hall of Illusion / Corroded Decontamination Facility boss fixes, a non-combat weapon-display option, extraction quick-select filters, soul-attunement flow improvements, integrated-enhancement restrictions, and inventory/storage hover lag optimization.
