AION 2 Patch Notes — March 25, 2026

A foundational update: Kinah splits into tradeable and Soul-bound types, auto-extraction arrives, Stigma slots expand to 5 with a new Stigma skill per class, a perfect-block system is added, and the Abyss matching is reworked. Translated from the official Korean update note.

Kinah system overhaul

Kinah is split into two types: tradeable “Kinah” and new “Soul-bound Kinah.” Existing Kinah is unchanged.

All other content grants Soul-bound Kinah. Some sinks accept only tradeable Kinah; “Kinah (combined)” sinks deduct Soul-bound first, then tradeable. Tradeable Kinah can be stored in character/server storage; Soul-bound Kinah cannot. The daily Kinah-earning cap is kept.

Content & Systems

  • Abyss matching rework: same-faction players can now be matched as enemies (except the Rift of Time/Space, which stays cross-faction only).
  • Auto-extraction: gear from loot, Odd Energy Cubes and monster cubes (Shugo Festa / Dimensional Invasion) can be auto-extracted ([Cube] > [Extract] > [Settings]); stops when Kinah runs low.
  • Pet race-understanding adds a [Total Applied Effects] tab.
  • Awakening Battle and Hidden Cube key rewards revised — adding “Unstable Stigma Shard,” with more Soul Books / pets and higher Spirit-Stone / reset-book odds.
  • Abyss honor medals & points: new weekly challenge missions grant silver/gold/platinum medals, medals can be down-converted (1 platinum → 2 gold → 2 silver), grade-based purchase limits removed from the Abyss gear shop (medals capped at 5/grade weekly), and 4 hot spots added to Lower and Middle Ereshranta with much tankier bosses/Dimensional Cores.
  • Inheritance: success count per season expanded 6 → 20.

Class Changes

Common

  • Tenaciousness, Salvation and Barrier Spell: invincibility/undying effects can no longer be chained back-to-back for 30s.
  • Survival Willpower / Revitalization Contract: status resistance reworked to +10% for 5s on being hit by stun/knockdown/aerial-bind/freeze/fear (up to 10 stacks); Revitalization Contract now heals % of max HP.
  • PvP: healing received in Abyss/Battlefield/Arena reduced 50%; summon attacks now multi-hit; summon stats no longer double-dip the main stat; charge-skill per-stage damage raised 20% → 40%.
  • Stigma: equip up to 5 Stigma skills; Mastery and Stigma skills can share slots (basic left-click skill stays fixed).

Each class receives a new Stigma skill plus a batch of “faster motion” and targeted tuning. Highlights by class:

  • Gladiator: new Stigma “Crushing Charge”; Lifestealing Blade becomes all-AoE; Blade Toss reworked (def + healing-received −30%); Tenaciousness immunity 5s → 3s with a +50% resistance tail.
  • Templar: new Stigma “Battlefield Banner”; Doom Shield reworked into a charge + shield; Comrade Protection takes 10% more shared damage in PvP; Judgment fires more often.
  • Assassin: new Stigma “Shadowstep”; Smoke Bomb reworked (AoE + 5s blind); Evasion Contract gains slow/bind immunity; Sigil Burst +15%; Ambush MP cost 200 → 100.
  • Ranger: new Stigma “Supporting Fire”; Sleep Arrow reworked into “Illusion Arrow” (blind); Drill Dart / Burst Arrow +15%; Griffon Arrow becomes AoE with DoT.
  • Sorcerer: new Stigma “Hibernation”; Lumiel's Space becomes AoE; Hellfire +20%; Bittercold Wind / Firestorm +15%; Robe of Earth gains crit above 50% MP.
  • Spiritmaster: new Stigma “Command: Proxy”; Kaisinel's Power reworked into a party +20% status accuracy/resistance; several spirit skills become AoE.
  • Cleric: new Stigma “Touch of Rebirth”; Salvation immunity 5s → 3s; Discharge combo chance 15% → 30%; Bolt +20%; Divine Aura +15%; healing-amp now scales with attack.
  • Chanter: new Stigma “Barrier Spell”; Annihilation Crush and Binding Mark reworked (faster, lower cooldown).

Block, combat power & UI

  • Block overhaul: new “Perfect Shield Block” and “Perfect Weapon Block” judgments — low-chance, omni-directional, reducing most damage. Shield classes ignore status on shield blocks; others ignore status on weapon blocks. New PvP block and PvP block-penetration stats added (PvP block on Abyssal manastones).
  • Combat power: heavy-strike/accuracy/crit contributions raised; penetration/MP lowered; PvE evasion contribution added.
  • Items: item-level damage correction removed (slight PvP reduction); max MP raised; friend list 30 → 50.
  • UI: simpler Abyss rank-icon design that scales with UI ratio; conversion material-confirm popups; force/resurrection-popup improvements.

Events, promotion & fixes

  • Events: Daeva Look Change Week (dyeing −50%) and a Stigma Shard Boost-Up (2× Unstable Stigma Shard from Expedition/Transcendence cubes).
  • Promotion: Black Cat / Sporty Chic / Cozy Maid armor sets, the “Night Cat's Claw” weapon skins, cat-themed accessories, new pets (Baby Nyang, Dodo Nyang) and the “Eerie Night Cat Wings.”
  • Fixes: Vakron Sky Island and Nightmare Floor II fixes, Sanctuary veil and BGM fixes, HUD-edit hide-state fix, and removal of low-grade manastones from several cubes.

    From March 25, 2026, Kinah was split into tradeable “Kinah” (from cubes, hunting, the brokerage and trades) and untradeable “Soul-bound Kinah” (from most other content). Combined sinks spend Soul-bound first; only tradeable Kinah can be stored in warehouses.

  • How many Stigma skills can I equip now?

    Up to 5. The same update also let Mastery and Stigma skills share slots (the basic left-click skill stays fixed) and gave each class a new Stigma skill.
