AION 2 Patch Notes — December 17, 2025

The December 17, 2025 update introduces the Attunement Stone re-roll system, adds Conquest Hard difficulty, raises Expedition and Sanctuary rewards, makes the Monolith server-shared, turns the Field Boss Raid permanent, and applies a broad class-balance pass. Content & Systems

Attunement Stones (new)

Expedition and Sanctuary now drop graded “Attunement Stones” and fragments. Convert 12× Attunement Stone Fragment (Unique) → Attunement Stone (Unique), and Unique → Heroic; use them in [Integrated Enhancement – Soul Engraving – Attune] to re-roll an item's options.

Expeditions, Transcendence & Sanctuary

  • Conquest Normal rewards raised (higher Heroic/Unique drop rates) and a guaranteed “Equipment Change Ticket” added (convert 2 tickets + a dungeon weapon + 1M Kinah into a chosen weapon from that dungeon).
  • New Conquest Hard difficulty for Krao Cave, Draupnir, Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island (Fire Temple / Ferocious Horn Den followed on Dec 24). No ranking buffs; much better drops, Attunement Stone Fragments, Draconic materials, and a guaranteed Unique-gear or Attunement Stone choice.
  • Transcendence rewards add Unstable Stigma Shards (convertible to Stigma Shards at 20%).
  • Sanctuary: mid-bosses Abyssal Wings Ketu and Isolation Specialist Rahu each drop 8 Abyssal Boxes; Eternal Rudra adds 4 Attunement Stones and an Abyssal gear / Equipment Change Ticket: Rudra guaranteed reward (with weapon/armor/accessory selection boxes).

Monolith & other systems

  • Empyrean Lord's Trace becomes server-shared: inherit collection progress across your server's characters to raise each character's resonance level.
  • Shugo Festa / Dimensional Invasion: base and daily challenge counts halved but rewards doubled; boss Kinah per kill capped (Nahma 1M, Kaira/Agro 200k).
  • New features: a macro-user report, inventory/warehouse drag-and-drop, and snapshot options (target nameplate toggle, watermark toggle).
  • QoL: weapon enhancement/divine-stone FX hide, Legion UI (member note/region/last-login + sorting), richer party/force HUD popups, preset-protected gear, and party/force world-map cross-server indicators. Poeta and Ishalgen servers merge their matching groups and gain the World Brokerage.

Class Changes

Common

Combat-speed now also affects charge speed; tooltips standardized to “on block/evasion success.” Many skills get faster motion while moving and toned-down flash FX.

Gladiator (검성)

Ranger (궁성)

VariousChanter: Protection Circle triggers at 10 stacks + 20% shield; Spinning Strike evasion-cancel fix. Sorcerer: Hellfire faster projectile, Blaze re-hit applies delayed damage instantly, Soul Freeze action-power fix. Spiritmaster/Assassin: tooltip and FX fixes.

Field Boss Raid, events & fixes

  • “Field Boss Raid!” becomes permanent: field bosses gain higher max HP on a fixed spawn cadence (Abyss bosses and the named world bosses excluded); excessive trap spawns fixed; Abyss boss-spawn frequency made permanent (with slightly lower medal rewards).
  • Weekly accumulated-play Kinah-rate limits now also apply to Conquest; sealed-dungeon/outpost Silentium becomes soul-bound; Subjugation resurrection counts eased and poison damage lowered.
  • Events: Christmas content (item deletion moved to Jan 7), the “Snow Festival Gift” recipe, the “Merry Daeva Christmas!” attendance book, and a daily December login gift.
  • Promotion: extended premium Daeva Pass windows and the “AION2 Time to Soar” pack.
  • Fixes: many Expedition/Transcendence/Sanctuary boss and contribution-threshold fixes (Odd Energy Cube min contribution 5% → 3%, Sanctuary → 1 attack), large-battle nameplate optimization, restored basic-attack sounds, and Android input fixes.
