AION 2 Patch Notes — August 5, 2026
The August 5, 2026 update is a light maintenance note with no class-balance changes. The Pet Auto-Loot Ticket added the previous week is capped at two purchases per character per month and can now be sold back for Soul-bound Kinah, seven new wardrobe patterns arrive, and Daeva Look Change Week halves decorating costs from 200 to 100 Quna until August 19. August 5 is a light maintenance note — there are no class-balance changes this week. The substantive entries are a purchase cap on the pet auto-loot item introduced the week before, and a batch of new wardrobe patterns.
Shop
- The 'Pet: Auto-Loot Ticket (30 Days)' sold at Sand Breeze Trading is changed to a limit of 2 purchases per character per month.
- 'Pet: Auto-Loot Ticket (30 Days) (Soul-bound)' can be sold to a town general goods merchant at the same price it was bought for. Note that the proceeds are paid out as Soul-bound Kinah.
Wardrobe
- 7 new patterns are added under [Wardrobe] → [Decorate] → [Pattern].
- The new patterns are: horizontal stripe, vertical stripe, star, zebra, diamond checker, cow and houndstooth.
Event — Daeva Look Change Week
Event period: August 5, 2026 (after regular maintenance) to August 19, 2026 (before regular maintenance).
For the duration of the event, the cost of decorating is cut by 50%, from 200 Quna to 100 Quna per part, with no cap on how many times you can use it. Open the Wardrobe menu and use the decorating button (the palette icon) to dye the outfits and weapon skins you own; pick the part you want to change and you can adjust its dye, material, pattern and pattern colour.

Each variant costs ₩19,000 (1,900 mileage, no mileage when bought with a Weapon Skin Exchange Ticket) and is restricted to the class that uses that weapon type. The skins cannot be traded, deleted or warehoused but can be used in Decorating, and are claimed from [Wardrobe – Equip – Weapon].

Fixes
Most of the fix list is boss-pattern work in the Sanctuary 'Corroded Decontamination Facility' and the Expedition 'Citadel of the Fallen Daeva', plus a Transcendence skill rename and a handful of UI corrections.
- Nightmare: the Templar's 'Noble Armor' and the Chanter's 'Guardian Blessing' are no longer removed on entry.
- Ishalgen episode quest 'The Untrodden Lake': fixed the Servant of the Gemstone attacking the Gemstone of the Veil at Tunapre Lake.
- Sanctuary 'Corroded Decontamination Facility' — boss Terminator Bargott: fixed the follow-up attack not being used when players failed to respond to the 'Bargott Blows It All Up!' pattern.
- Sanctuary 'Corroded Decontamination Facility' — boss Terminator Bargott: fixed the damage from the bombs it summons being avoidable with the Assassin's 'Evasion Stance'.
- Transcendence 'Abyssal Horn Den' — boss Gargaum: the skill 'Blue Light of Destruction' is renamed 'Expanding Primordial'.

- Settings: the numeric value that was shown alongside the tier in the network status display option is no longer displayed.
- Fixed the awkward per-step target counts on the Trial-dungeon clear missions under [Season Missions – Challenge – Season].
- Fixed the Brawler's 'Focused Block' incorrectly stating a maximum of 3 casts when its spec #3 is active.
Recovery & restoration
- Abyss Points lost on July 1 — when the amount earned in the Abyss corridor was reduced by the level gap between the character and the monsters — are paid out. The compensation is proportional to the total time each affected character spent inside the corridor while at level 49–50.
- Exchange tickets are paid out for the 'Cozy Rabbit Outfit (Skin: Set)', 'Cozy Rabbit Outfit (Skin: Chestpiece)' and 'Cozy Rabbit Outfit (Skin: Boots)', which were excluded from the July 1 Special-grade Skin Exchange Ticket payout.

Are there class balance changes in the August 5, 2026 AION 2 update?
No. There is no class-balance section in this note. The only class-related entries are fixes: Nightmare no longer strips the Templar's Noble Armor or the Chanter's Guardian Blessing on entry, the Assassin's Evasion Stance no longer dodges Terminator Bargott's bomb damage, the Gladiator's Wave Armor no longer clears Gargaum's bleed zone, and the Brawler's Focused Block tooltip no longer misreports its maximum cast count.
What compensation is being paid out in the August 5 AION 2 update?
Two items. Abyss Points that were reduced on July 1 because of the level gap between characters and monsters in the Abyss corridor are refunded in proportion to the time each level 49–50 character spent inside. Separately, Skin Exchange Tickets are granted for the three Cozy Rabbit Outfit pieces that were left out of the July 1 Special-grade Skin Exchange Ticket payout.
